Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Tajuan Porter sunk a game-high 29 points, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 49.6 seconds left, as the Oregon Ducks edged the UCLA Bruins, 70-68, in a Pac-10 Conference showdown at Pauley Pavilion.
Jeremy Jacob recorded a double-double in the win for Oregon (14-14, 6-10 Pac-10), netting 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Michael Roll led the way for UCLA (13-15, 8-8) with 25 points on 6-of-12 three-pointers. Malcolm Lee added 18 points in the loss, while Tyler Honeycutt tore down 13 boards.
The Ducks took a 41-31 lead into the intermission after connecting on 45.5 percent of their field goals in the opening half, including seven three- pointers.
The Bruins made their comeback behind 60.0 percent shooting from the floor in the second stanza, but Porter hit the go-ahead trey with 49.6 seconds left and Jacob made two free throws to seal the victory for Oregon.
Oregon outrebounded the Bruins 33-26 on the night, including a 13-5 advantage on the offensive boards. The Ducks also went 10-of-14 from behind the arc, thanks to a 7-of-9 effort by Porter.
