San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Roberto Mafra scored 13 points and collected seven rebounds to lead the San Diego Toreros to a 65-48 victory over the Pepperdine Waves in a West Coast Conference clash.

Brandon Johnson added 11 points while passing out six assists in the win for San Diego (10-20, 3-11 WCC), while Chris Lewis finished with 10 points.

Lorne Jackson scored 15 points off the bench to lead the way in the loss for Pepperdine (7-23, 3-11).

The Waves held San Diego to just 36.4 percent from the field during the first stanza, but they still found themselves trailing the Toreros by a 28-25 margin heading into the break.

The Toreros broke the contest wide open in the second half, as the squad shot at a blazing 61.9 percent clip and buried 6-of-10 from long range en route to a 17-point win.

The Waves were guilty of 15 turnovers in the loss.
