Morehead, KY (Sports Network) - Kenneth Faried scored 15 points to lead the Morehead State Eagles to a 73-63 victory over the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks in an Ohio Valley Conference tussle at Johnson Arena.

Faried also grabbed seven rebounds and posted five blocks for Morehead State (21-9, 15-3 OVC), while Terrance Hill and Lee Simmons posted 12 points apiece. Maze Stallworth helped out with 11 points, while Sam Goodman chipped in 10 points.

Marquis Weddle netted 20 points for UT-Martin (4-25, 1-17), while Benzor Simmons and Reuben Clayton tallied 11 points apiece.

The first half ended in a 28 point tie, despite Morehead State shooting just 33.0 percent from the field over the first 20 minutes.

Morehead State turned it on in the second stanza, and used an 11-2 run midway through the half to grab the 10-point win.

Morehead State shot 44.0 percent in the contest.
