Greenville, NC (Sports Network) - Justin Hurtt poured in a game-high 34 points, as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane bested the East Carolina Pirates, 85-73, in a Conference USA tussle at Minges Coliseum.

Jerome Jordan recorded a double-double in the win for Tulsa (20-9, 9-5 CUSA) with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Joe Richard added 13 points, while Ben Uzoh contributed 10 and seven assists.

Brock Young led the way for East Carolina (9-19, 3-11) with 30 points, while Darrius Morrow added 15.

The Golden Hurricane took a 36-29 advantage into the intermission courtesy of tough defense, holding East Carolina to 38.5 percent shooting from the floor in the opening stanza.

The Golden Hurricane connected on 54.8 percent of its second-half field goals, including six three-pointers, for the 12-point win.
