San Luis Obispo, CA (Sports Network) - Charles Anderson scored 15 points to lift the Cal Poly Mustangs over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, 60-57, in Big West Conference action.

Shawn Lewis tallied 14 points for Cal Poly (11-17, 7-8 BWC), which got 12 points from Lorenzo Keeler. David Hanson netted 11 points and grabbed 17 boards for the Mustangs.

Orlando Johnson posted 21 points in the heart-breaking setback for UC Santa Barbara (17-9, 11-4).

UC Santa Barbara struggled offensively in the first half, but the Gauchos led 33-27 at intermission after holding Cal Poly to 26.7 percent shooting over the opening 20 minutes.

The Mustangs knocked down five three-pointers in the second half and connected on 8-of-9 free throws to claim the narrow win.

A 46-39 rebounding advantage helped Cal Poly claim the win.
