Pullman, WA (Sports Network) - Isaiah Thomas poured in 22 points to lead the Washington Huskies to a 59-52 victory over the Washington State Cougars in a Pac-10 battle at Friel Court.

Matt Bryan-Amaning added 17 points while hauling in 12 rebounds in the win for Washington (19-9, 9-7 Pac-10).

Casto DeAngelo scored 19 points to lead the way for Washington State (16-12, 6-10).

The Cougars were held to a woeful 18.2 percent shooting performance during the first period of play, allowing Washington to jump out to a 35-21 halftime lead.

In the second half, the Huskies stalled a late surge by the Cougars. A 7- of-10 effort from the charity stripe over the final 20 minutes enabled the road team to escape with a seven-point win.

The Cougars converted just 29.5 percent from the floor in the loss.
