Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Sergio Kerusch scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers bested the FIU Golden Panthers, 88-61, to close out the Sun Belt Conference regular season.

Steffphon Pettigrew and A.J. Slaughter scored 13 points each for the Hilltoppers (19-12, 12-6 Sun Belt) who will be seeded third out of the Eastern Division for the conference tournament. Caden Dickerson scored 12 points and Jeremy Evans 11.

Tremayne Russell and Marlon Bright scored 11 points each for FIU (7-24, 4-14) which finished in the basement in the Eastern Division. Bright added nine rebounds.

The Hilltoppers broke the game open in the first half, shooting 18-of-27 from the field en route to a 50-23 halftime advantage.

Western Kentucky was almost as hot in the second half, going 13-of-28 from the floor. The Hilltoppers were 5-of-10 from long range.

Western Kentucky was 13-of-21 from three-point range in the tilt and enjoyed a 40-25 rebounding edge.
