Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Anthony Hill led all scorers with 20 points to go along with nine rebounds, as the Milwaukee Panthers claimed a 78-74 victory over the Illinois-Chicago Flames in a Horizon League showdown at UIC Pavilion.

James Eayrs added 19 points and eight boards for the Panthers (18-13, 10-8 HL), winners of five of their last six contests. Ricky Franklin scored 16, while Lonnie Boga finished with 10 off the bench.

Jeremy Buttell and Robo Kreps shared team-high scoring honors with 16 points apiece for UIC (8-21, 3-15). Zavion Neeley chipped in with 15 points in the loss, while Spencer Stewart tallied 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Panthers shot 51.7 percent from the floor and knocked down six three- pointers in the first half, as they took a comfortable 41-27 lead into the break.

The Flames rallied back behind a 58.6 percent effort from the floor in the second stanza, but Milwaukee was able to hang on behind a 14-7 scoring edge from the foul line in the period.

In addition to their strong first half, the Panthers were fueled by a key 41-27 rebounding advantage for the game.
