Lawrenceville, NJ (Sports Network) - Justin Robinson scored 27 points to lead the Rider Broncs to an 86-70 win over the Canisius Golden Griffins in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game that concluded the regular season for both schools.

Robinson finished the day shooting a perfect 5-of-5 behind the three-point line and 6-of-6 at the charity stripe for Rider (16-15, 9-9 MAAC). Ryan Thompson added 17 points for the Broncs, which ended a brief two-game losing streak. Mike Ringgold added 12 points, six assists, and nine rebounds and Novar Gadson finished with 10 points.

Frank Turner scored 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dealt out 10 assists for Canisius (14-16, 8-10) which had won its last two. Elton Frazier added 14 points, and Julius Coles 11.

Rider led 39-38 at halftime after shooting 45.5 percent from the floor. Canisius converted 48.1 percent from the field in the first half. The two teams went a combined 9-of-25 from outside the arc in the opening frame.

Canisius led by five with 7:47 left in regulation, but went the last 4:40 without a field goal. Rider shot 13-of-23 in the second half, including 8- of-12 from long range.

The Broncs shot an even 50.0 percent from the floor for the afternoon. Canisius was just 10-of-30 from three-point range.

The Griffs earned a seventh seeding for the upcoming MAAC Tournament at the Times Union Center and will face off against 10th-seeded Marist in first-round action on Friday night. Rider, the fifth seed for the event, will take on fourth-seeded Saint Peter's in the quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.
