Davis, CA (Sports Network) - Mark Payne scored 19 points to lead three players in double figures as the UC Davis Aggies downed the UC Riverside Highlanders, 66-43, in Big West Conference action.

Dominic Calegari scored 18 points for the Aggies (12-16, 7-7 Big West) and Ryan Sypkens added 14 points. Todd Lowenthal grabbed 11 rebounds, Joe Harden added eight boards.

Kyle Austin and Lateef McMullan scored eight points each for UC Riverside (12-16, 5-10). Austin, who shot just 3-of-14 from the field, grabbed 10 rebounds.

UC Davis led 25-21 at halftime after going 9-of-20 from the floor in the opening 20 minutes. The Highlanders were just 8-of-28 from the field in the opening half and just 3-of-12 from long range.

The Aggies extended their lead in the second half, shooting 50.0 percent from the floor, including a 9-of-14 effort from long range. UCR just 9-of-26 from the floor after halftime.
