Greensboro, NC (Sports Network) - Ben Stywall led all scorers with 30 points and had 11 rebounds as the UNC-Greensboro Spartans held off a furious rally by the Georgia Southern Eagles for an 81-79 win.

Mikko Koivisto recorded 12 points, while Kyle Randall added nine points off the bench for the Spartans (7-22, 6-12 Southern Conference), who finished the regular season with wins in two of their final three games.

Antonio Hanson led the Eagles (9-22, 6-12) with 20 points. Colby Wohlleb and Willie Powers chipped in 18 and 15 points, respectively. Powers also had nine assists for Georgia Southern, which had won its previous two games.

Georgia Southern trimmed the deficit from 20 with 11 minutes left all the way down to two as Antoine Johnson made a layup with 7.5 seconds remaining, but Randall made 1-of-2 free throws with 6.2 seconds to go.

The Spartans fouled Ben Drayton in the closing seconds. He made the first attempt, but missed the second with 1.6 on the clock. Tyler Troupe got the rebound for the Eagles, but he turned the ball over as time expired.

UNC-Greensboro took a 45-37 lead into halftime, outshooting the Eagles 60.6 percent to 36.7 percent. The Spartans held a 63-43 lead with 11 minutes left following a Stywall layup.
