Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Jamar Abrams scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the East Carolina Pirates to a 68-66 victory over the UCF Knights in a Conference-USA battle at UCF Arena.

Darrius Morrow added 14 points to go with six boards in the win for East Carolina (10-19, 4-11 C-USA), while Jontae Sherrod chipped in 10 points.

A.J. Tyler scored 16 points to lead the way for UCF (13-16, 5-10), while Taylor Young notched 15 points off the bench in the losing effort.

The Knights held East Carolina to just 36.0 percent from the floor during the opening frame to take a 34-25 lead into the break.

In the second half, however, the Pirates battled back with a 62.5 percent shooting effort from the floor to earn a two-point win.

The Pirates shot 49.0 percent from the field for the game, helping the squad to overcome a game-high 17 turnovers.
