Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Nikola Cvetinovic led a balanced attack with 18 points and seven rebounds, as the Akron Zips picked up a 77-69 win over the Detroit Titans in a non-league tilt at Calihan Hall.

Darryl Roberts came off the bench and pitched in with 13 points and three steals for Akron (3-2), while Brett McClanahan and Steve McNees scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Chase Simon led Detroit (4-4) and all scorers with 24 points. Jason Calliste chipped in with 12 points, as the Titans saw their three-game win streak come to an end.

Behind 48.3 percent shooting from the floor, Detroit was able to grab a slim 37-36 lead at the break.
