Greenville, SC (Sports Network) - Amu Saaka scored a game-high 24 points in leading the Furman Paladins to a 80-65 victory over the Elon Phoenix in a Southern Conference bout at Timmons Arena.

Noah States added 18 points in the win for Furman (4-2, 1-0 SoCon), while Jordan Miller and Brandon Sebirumbi contributed double-figure performances with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Elon (2-4, 0-1) was led by Drew Spradlin's 22 points, while Chris Long added 14.

Furman held a 39-32 advantage heading into the intermission after connecting on 52.0 percent of its field goals in the opening half.

The Paladins were able to secure the 15-point win after holding Elon to 40.7 shooting from the floor in the second stanza.

Furman showed its power under the net, outscoring the Phoenix in the paint by a 34-18 margin.
