Birmingham, AL (Sports Network) - Cameron Moore poured in 25 points to go along with seven rebounds and three blocks, as he led the UAB Blazers to a 59-53 victory over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in a non-conference affair tonight.

Aaron Johnson pitched in 18 points, seven boards and five assists for UAB (6-1).

Stephen Hall scored 20 points in defeat for Jacksonville State (2-6), which received 18 points from Jeremy Bynum. As for senior guard Nick Murphy, who tallied nine points, he became the Gamecocks' all-time Division I scoring leader.

Jacksonville State owned a 31-28 lead at intermission, as UAB registered just nine field goals in the first half.

Over the final 20 minutes, the Blazers shot 12-of-23 from the floor and 6-of-7 from the foul line to claim the win.
