Santa Barbara, CA (Sports Network) - James Nunnally poured in 29 points on 11- of-14 shooting from the field to lead the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos to a 77-67 victory over the Loyola Marymount Lions in a non-league affair.

Orlando Johnson netted 11 points for UC Santa Barbara (3-3).

Larry Davis posted 27 points in defeat for Loyola Marymount (3-5). The Lions also got 13 points from Vernon Teel and 10 points from Anthony Ireland.

UC Santa Barbara owned a 36-32 lead at intermission after shooting 54.5 percent from the floor in the first half.

The Gauchos were even more impressive at the offensive end in the second half, as they shot a blistering 68 percent from the field.

Both teams finished the game with 12 points from the foul line, 26 rebounds and 16 turnovers.
