San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Darren Moore poured in a career-high 30 points and ripped down 11 rebounds to power the UC Irvine Anteaters to a 90-82 triumph over the San Diego Toreros in a non-conference clash.

Patrick Rembert pitched in 18 points for UC Irvine (4-3).

Chris Manresa had a career-high 18 points in the setback for San Diego (1-5), which got 13 points apiece from Matt Dorr and Devin Ginty.

UC Irvine was the better team in the first half and owned a 44-35 advantage at intermission.

The Anteaters led by 14 points with under eight minutes remaining, but a 14-2 run by the Toreros cut their deficit to 72-70 with four minutes left. Fortunately for Irvine, it was able to rip off a 12-0 run to regain control of the game.

A 19-8 advantage in points from the foul line was key to the victory for the Anteaters.

Moore shot 9-of-9 from the field in the victory.
