Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - Julian Mavunga scored a game-high 24 points as the Miami-Ohio RedHawks defeated the Xavier Musketeers 75-64 in a non- conference battle at Millett Hall.

Nick Winbush netted 17 points in the win for Miami-Ohio (3-4), while Antonio Ballard and Orlando Williams added 11 points apiece.

Xavier (5-2) was led by 18 points from both Mark Lyons and Tu Holloway. Jamel McLean sunk 13 points in the loss, while Kenny Frease added 12.

Miami-Ohio held a 28-19 advantage at the intermission after holding Xavier to a miserable 30.4 percent shooting from the floor in the opening half.

Despite the Musketeers improving to 51.9 percent shooting in the second stanza, the RedHawks connected on six three-pointers to help secure the win.

Miami-Ohio relied on exceptional free-throw shooting on the night, converting 17 of its 18 attempts from the charity stripe, including 13-of-13 in the second half.
