Leslie and Parker's double-doubles not enough in return

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Janel McCarville's layup with 6.4 seconds remaining was the difference in the New York Liberty's 69-68 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks.

McCarville led New York with 15 points and was joined in double figures by Shameka Christon and Cathrine Kraayeveld with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Fresh off their one-game suspensions for roles in Tuesday's altercation with the Detroit Shock, Lisa Leslie and Candace Parker each notched double-doubles for the Sparks. Leslie scored 16 to go with 13 rebounds and five assists while Parker had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

DeLisha Milton-Jones, who also served a one-game suspension, and Kiesha Brown also scored in double figures for Los Angeles with 19 and 10 points respectively.
