Silver Stars acquire Snow from Atlanta

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - The San Antonio Silver Stars acquired center Michelle Snow from the Atlanta Dream in exchange for center Dalma Ivanyi on Thursday.

Also, Atlanta has the rights to swap second round picks with San Antonio in the 2011 draft to Atlanta.

Originally selected by the Houston Comets in the first round (10th overall) of the 2002 draft, Snow has averaged 9.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 blocks per game over 266 games with Houston and Atlanta.

"We are very excited about the addition of Michelle Snow to our roster," said San Antonio head coach Sandy Brondello. "She has always been a player that was difficult for us to stop in the past and she has all the skills that will make her a great asset to our team."

Ivanyi, a native of Hungary, has played five seasons in the WNBA, four of which were with San Antonio, and has averaged 1.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 106 career games played. She is currently playing for MiZo Pcs in her native land.
