Wladimir Klitschko to defend crown against Povetkin

Berlin, Germany (Sports Network) - Wladimir Klitschko will defend his IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight crowns against Alexander Povetkin on September 11.

The bout will take place at Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt.

Klitschko owns a record of 54-3 with 48 knockouts and last fought on March 20, notching a 12th-round knockout of Eddie Chambers. He's won 12 straight fights since a loss to Lamon Brewster in 2004.

Povetkin, a 30-year-old native of Russia, is unbeaten in 19 bouts with 14 knockouts. He also last fought in March and scored a fifth-round TKO of Javier Mora. Chambers was also one of his victims, a unanimous decision in January 2008.
