Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - The British Columbia Lions agreed to terms with running back Jamal Robertson on Monday. Terms of the contract were not announced.
"Jamal is a proven running back in our league and I believe he helps fill a significant need we have at that position," said Lions general manager and head coach Wally Buono.
Jackson spent the last two seasons with Toronto and rushed for 1,676 yards on 326 carries with 15 touchdowns. He also accumulated 86 receptions for 753 yards and a score.
"I'm very excited to be joining the Lions," said Robertson "They were tough to play against the past two seasons and I'm glad to be going out west to be part of a team that's making some big offseason moves."
Robertson broke into pro football in 2001 with Calgary, and also spent time with the NFL's San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons before signing with Saskatchewan in 2007.
