Calgary signs DB Carroll

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - The Calgary Stampeders agreed to terms with former NFL defensive back Ahmad Carroll to a contract on Tuesday.

Details of the contract were not disclosed, per team policy.

The 27-year-old was taken with the 25th overall pick out of Arkansas by Green Bay in the 2004 NFL Draft.

Carroll played with the Packers for three seasons (2004-06) before spending two years with the New York Jets (2008-09). Over 57 career games -- 28 starts -- Carroll had accumulated three interceptions, three sacks, one fumble recovery for a touchdown and 94 total tackles.
