Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Henry Burris threw for 404 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Calgary Stampeders in a 46-21 rout of defending champion Montreal in a potential Grey Cup Final preview.
Burris completed 18-of-27 passes and had 56 rushing yards for the Stampeders (10-3), who snapped a brief two-game losing streak and retook the league's best record with their eighth win in 10 weeks. Ken-Yon Rambo caught six passes for 169 yards and a score, while Romby Bryant gained 146 yards on five receptions and scored twice.
Anthony Calvillo passed for 227 yards and three touchdowns on 17-of-33 throws for the Alouettes (9-4), who saw their three-game win streak end. The signal- caller was also picked off once.
Jamel Richardson garnered 124 receiving yards and a score on five catches in defeat.
Coming into the game with identical 9-3 records, Montreal and Calgary are the only CFL clubs to clinch a playoff berth thus far in 2010. The Als and Stampeders own the league's top two point-producing offenses, and it showed in the high-scoring affair.
The Stamps jumped out to a big lead and never looked back.
Just 2 1/2 minutes into the game, Burris hit Bryant on a 61-yard touchdown pass, and with 8:42 remaining in the opening period, Burris found Rambo for a 100-yard scoring play and 14-0 lead.
Montreal answered on Calvillo's 15-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Hawkins, but Rob Maver responded with a 29-yard field goal for Calgary on the first play of the second quarter for a 17-7 game.
Drew Tate's one-yard touchdown run midway through the second gave Calgary a 17-point lead, but Calvillo's second touchdown toss -- a seven-yard throw to S.J. Green -- had Montreal within 10 again with two minutes left.
With seconds remaining in the opening half, Maver hit a 31-yard field goal for a 27-14 halftime lead.
The teams traded touchdowns to start the third quarter, as Nik Lewis caught a 36-yard touchdown pass from Burris and Richardson was the recipient of a 16- yard scoring throw from Calvillo.
Montreal would get no closer, however, as a safety and 23-yard field goal from Maver gave Calgary a 39-21 lead early in the fourth. Bryant's second TD catch of the contest with 9 1/2 minutes left sealed the outcome.
