Stanford TE Toilolo out for season

Stanford, CA (Sports Network) - Stanford sophomore tight end Levine Toilolo will miss the remainder of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Toilolo, a native of suburban San Diego, suffered the injury during the Cardinal's season-opening 52-17 win over Sacramento State when a defender's helmet collided with the knee.

According to KTVU.com in San Francisco, an MRI exam taken Sunday confirmed the tear.

With the injury, Notre Dame transfer Konrad Reuland and junior Coby Fleener will get a boost up the depth chart at the position.

Stanford begins its Pac-10 slate this coming Saturday against UCLA.
