GAME NOTES: Ohio looks to remain atop the Mid-American Conference's East Division as it travels upstate to take on Bowling Green at Perry Stadium.

The Bobcats won their third straight last week as they bested Central Michigan 43-28. Before the game with the Chippewa's, Ohio reeled off victories over Temple and Akron. The Bobcats conference losses came from Buffalo and Ball State. If Ohio wins out it would secure itself a spot in the MAC Championship Game.

Bowling Green's miserable 45-14 loss at the hands of Northern Illinois last week was the team's s fifth loss in its last six games. Before the losing trend, the Falcons won three of its first four games. Bowling Green has one of the youngest programs in the nation with 54 freshman and 27 sophomores on its roster.

Bowling Green holds a 36-24-2 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1945. Ohio won the 2010 meeting 49-25 in Athens for the Bobcats fifth- straight win in the rivalry.

Ohio's 43-point output against Central Michigan was the third time it scored 40 or more in a game this season. The Bobcat offense is ranked 18th best in the nation with 469.1 yards per game. Ohio gained 527 yards of total offense versus Central Michigan. Tyler Tettleton leads the attack with 2471 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. Tettleton became Ohio's all-time leader in passing yards in a single season last week after he threw for 218 yards.

Tettleton's favorite target is LaVon Brazil who is currently riding a streak of four 100-plus receiving yard games in a row. Brazill is a threat to find the end zone every game as the senior has ten touchdowns on the year. Brazill has recorded at least one play of 20 yards or more in every game this season. In 2011, Ohio has recorded 47 plays of 25 yards-or-more and 13 of those have come courtesy of Brazill.

Riley Dunlop is on the brink of cracking the top 10 in career receptions and receiving yards. Dunlop needs just five receptions and 34 yards to move into the top 10 in both categories.

Donte Harden is the featured back for the Bobcats. Harden's best performance of the year came in the win over Temple when he ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. He is a dangerous weapon for the Bobcats. Harden is ranked 10th in the nation in all-purpose yards as he is also has the duty of kick returner for Ohio.

Ohio's defense is ranked 32nd in the nation with 342.8 yards allowed per game. The Bobcats lead the conference in pass efficiency defense and is second in scoring defense. Noah Keller leads the team with 74 tackles.

Bowling Green's offense is ranked 60th in the nation with 391.2 yards per game. The Falcons were held to just 334 yards of total offense in their 45-14 loss to Northern Illinois last week.

The offense is anchored by Matt Schilz, who has thrown for 2,556 yards and 21 touchdowns, which is second best in the MAC.

Schilz has a pair of receivers in Kamar Jordan and Eugene Cooper that combine to make one of the best duos in the nation. The two have a grabbed 121 balls, for 1,583 yards and 15 touchdowns collectively. Jordan has been unstoppable as of late as he has 20 catches for 355 yards and two touchdowns in his last two games.

Anthon Samuel returned to the lineup after missing the Kent State game and rushed for 73 yards on 12 carries. Samuel is ranked 32nd in the nation in rushing yards per game.

Bowling Green's defense was demolished by Northern Illinois last week. The Falcons gave up 623 yards of total offense and 45 points in the game. The Falcons need to lower those totals if they hope to be successful against the Bobcats. Linebacker Dwayne Woods leads the team with 87 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception. Chris Jones has been the anchor of the front line with seven sacks and 11 tackles for loss.

All the pressure is on Ohio in this one as Bowling Green is playing for pride at this point in the year. With the home crowd behind them, a Falcons' victory is not impossible. Schilz will have to have a great performance for Bowling Green to knock off Ohio. Tettleton is going to give the Falcons' defense some trouble just as Northern Illinois' quarterback Chandler Harnish did a week ago.
