Las Cruces, NM (Sports Network) - Dakota Warren knocked through three field goals to help lead the Miners of Texas-El Paso to a 16-10 win over the New Mexico State Aggies in non-conference action at Aggie Memorial Stadium.

Warren, who began the game with conversions of 42 and 47 yards in the second quarter, also missed efforts from 47 and 37 yards in the third and fourth quarters, respectively, for the Miners (2-1). Quarterback Jay Hall converted just 9-of-28 passes for 124 yards and an interception while being sacked twice.

The Aggies (1-2) were paced by Andrew Manley who hit on 20-of-37 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown, but he was taken down behind the line a total of six times.

After falling behind by a pair of field goals, the Aggies scored their first points of the night on a 14-yard TD strike between Manley and Taveon Rogers to actually move ahead 7-6 at the break.

In the third quarter NMSU added a 20-yard field goal from Tyler Stampler to move out to a 10-6 advantage, but from there the Aggies were never heard from again.

In addition to a 37-yard field goal by Warren in the fourth quarter, UTEP also picked up a five-yard TD run from Leilyon Myers late in the third period to complete the comeback bid and capture the six-point win.

The Miners, who entered the weekend ranked 118th in the country in rushing with just 33.0 ypg on the ground, produced 185 yards on 42 attempts.
