Final Score: Memphis 31 - Middle Tennessee 38

Murfreesboro, TN (Sports Network) - Logan Kilgore found Anthony Amos for a 33 yard touchdown pass with 11 seconds remaining to give Middle Tennessee a 38-31 win over Memphis at Floyd Stadium.

Kilgore completed 27-of-41 passes for 277 yards and three touchdowns for Middle Tennessee (1-3), who won its first game of the season despite trailing 17-0. Malcolm Beyah had six catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns, while D.D. Kyles added 105 yards rushing and one touchdown.

Taylor Reed led Memphis (1-4) with 230 yards and one touchdown on 25-of-32 passing, while Billy Foster added 94 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Tigers.

Memphis jumped out to a 17-0 lead, which was started with Foster's seven yard touchdown run at the 10:44 mark of the first quarter. After Paulo Henriques hit a 36-yard field goal to make it 10-0 seven minutes later, Reed gave the Tigers its second score of the day off a seven yard touchdown run with 13:38 remaining in the second quarter.

Middle Tennessee countered with a productive 12 play drive, which spanned 58 yards in just over four minutes and was capped with Kilgore's five yard touchdown passes to Beyah.

A Memphis fumble at its own five yard line led to a 21 yard field goal by Alan Gendreau to make it 17-10 with 1:39 remaining in the second quarter.

Kilgore and Beyah hooked up again for the third quarter's only score, this one coming on a 36-yard touchdown pass that tied the game at 17 with 3:16 remaining in the frame.

Foster capped an 11 play, 71 yard drive with a two yard touchdown run that gave Memphis back the 24-17 lead with 7:53 left in the game. The Blue Raiders wasted no time in knotting the score, as Kyles raced 59 yards for a touchdown 34 seconds later.

After Middle Tennessee forced a three and out, Kilgore marched the offense 67 yards in eight plays, and after running back William Pratcher fumbled into the end zone on an 11 yard run, Beyah recovered for the go-ahead touchdown with 3:14 remaining.

Reed needed just five plays and 1:33 to tie the game up. He hit Foster for a 24 yard gain on the drive's first play, then found Keiwone Malone three plays later for a 23-yard touchdown pass that tied the game at 31 with 1:41 remaining.

That set up the game winning drive from the Blue Raiders. Kyles ran for 14 yards on a thrid-and-three, and Kilgore had back-to-back completions of 17 and 23 yards before finding Amos on the 33 yard touchdown strike with just 11 seconds to seal the win.
