Athens, GA (Sports Network) - Aaron Murray threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns, as Georgia beat SEC foe Mississippi State in a battle of the Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium.

Murray was intercepted three times, although the Bulldogs (3-2, 2-1 SEC) made enough plays to notch their third straight win after an 0-2 start. Isaiah Crowell carried 22 times for 104 yards in the victory.

Mississippi State's Chris Relf threw for just 157 yards and two interceptions, as the Bulldogs (2-3) dropped to 0-3 in conference play. Relf was also sacked four times, while the running game was bottled up to just 56 yards on 34 carries.

Murray got Georgia on the scoreboard first with a 21-yard touchdown strike to Orson Charles four minutes into the game.

Mississippi State trimmed the deficit to 7-3 on a 42-yard field goal by Derek DePasquale with just under eight minutes to play in the first quarter.

Later in the opening frame, Murray connected with Malcolm Mitchell for a six- yard touchdown pass to put Georgia on top, 14-3.

The Bulldogs extended their lead to 21-3 with 1:03 to play until halftime, as Carlton Thomas capped an eight-play, 81-yard drive with a seven-yard touchdown run. Blair Walsh tacked on three more points with a 28-yard field goal in the third quarter.

Mississippi State cut the deficit to 24-10 midway through the fourth quarter thanks to its defense, as Darius Slay stepped in front of a Murray pass and returned it 72 yards the other way for a touchdown. However, Georgia's defense shut the door the rest of the way.

Mississippi State was held to just 213 total yards for the game, as the Bulldogs converted only 4-of-15 third downs and 1-of-3 fourth downs.
