Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Quarterback Kevin Prince was inserted in the game in the second quarter and threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the game-winner with under four minutes to play, giving UCLA a thrilling 28-25 win over Washington State in Pac-12 play from the Rose Bowl.

UCLA (3-3, 2-1 Pac-12) amassed 371 yards of total offense, as Prince completed 8-of-13 passes, for 173 yards in the game. Prince replaced starter Richard Brehaut, who broke his leg in the first half. Tailback Johnathan Franklin averaged just over nine yards per carry and led the Bruins' ground game with 110 yards on just 12 totes. Wideout Nelson Rosario made the most of his three catches, as he racked up 120 receiving yards for UCLA.

Washington State (3-2, 1-1) finished with 389 total yards. Quarterback Marshall Lobbestael was 28-of-40 passing, for 235 yards and two scores for the Cougars. Freshman Rickey Galvin finished with 88 rushing yards, while sophomore Marquess Wilson hauled in nine balls, for 83 yards in the loss.

The Cougars provided the only scoring in the first quarter with a 21-yard field goal by Andrew Furney at the 9:09 mark.

Furney added two more field goals in the second quarter, 26 and 21 yards, respectively.

Between the two field goals though, UCLA got on the scoreboard thanks to a one-yard TD run by Derrick Coleman.

The Bruins turned a 9-7 halftime deficit into a 14-9 lead early in the third quarter with a second one-yard plunge by Coleman.

The Cougars took the lead once again with an eight-yard TD pass from Lobbestael to Jared Karstetter under four minutes later. Washington State extended its lead to 22-14 with a 21-yard TD pass from Lobbestael to Galvin at the 12:25 mark of the fourth quarter.

UCLA came right back with a nine-yard TD pass from Prince to Josh Smith a minute and half later, to cut the lead to 22-20.

Furney's fourth field goal, a 47-yarder at the 10:52 mark made it 25-20 in favor of WSU, but Prince hit Shaquelle Evans for a seven-yard TD with under three and a half minutes to go, converting a two-point conversion with a pass to Rosario after that, giving the Bruins the come-from-behind victory.

The win marked the fourth straight in the series for UCLA, which now holds a 39-18-1 advantage all-time.
