Final Score: Hawaii 27 - San Jose St 28
San Jose, CA (Sports Network) - Chandler Jones' huge night ended in a game- winning 37-yard touchdown catch with 36 seconds left in regulation, as San Jose State dropped Hawaii, 28-27.
Each team turned the ball over six times, and San Jose State returned a blocked extra point for two points.
Despite the turnaround, Hawaii led 27-22 down the stretch, only to have Matt Faulkner throw a last-minute touchdown to Jones, who also ran for a 20-yard TD and returned a fumble 23 yards for a score to help the Spartans jump out to a 20-7 lead at halftime.
The Warriors (3-3, 1-1 WAC) came back in the third to go in front, as Bryant Moniz threw his second TD pass -- this time to Jeremiah Ostrowski -- prior to Joey Iosefa running in for a two-yard score.
Iosefa rattled off a 32-yard TD early in the fourth, with Duke Ihenacho's return of the extra point turning the tide.
The comeback gave San Jose State (3-4, 2-1) its first home win against Hawaii since 1997.
Both quarterbacks threw for 300-plus yards with three interceptions, as Faulkner had 366 yards to Moniz's 303.
