Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Keith Price threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns as the Washington Huskies rolled over the Colorado Buffaloes 52-24 in a Pac-12 game at Husky Stadium.
Price was 21-of-28 through the air for Washington (5-1, 3-0 Pac-12) which is off to a 5-1 start for the first time since 2001. All four touchdown throws came in the first half. Devin Aguilar caught six balls for 37 yards and a score, while Jermaine Kearse caught five balls for 84 yards and a score. Chris Polk carried 18 times for 117 yards and also caught a touchdown pass.
Tyler Hansen was 18-of-30 through the air for the Buffaloes (1-6, 0-3) which lost its fourth straight. Tony Jones carried 14 times for 49 yards and caught seven passes for an additional 49 yards.
Washington got started when Price hit Kearse with a 17-yard touchdown pass less than three minutes into the opening quarter.
Colorado answered when Hansen hit Kyle Cefalo with a five-yard scoring pass five-and-a-half minutes into the period.
Kevin Smith ran 22-yards for a score before Price found Austin Seferian-Jenkins on an 11-yard route on the last play of the first quarter to give Washington a 21-3 lead.
Will Oliver added a 46-yard field goal four minutes into the second quarter to cut Washington's lead to 21-10.
Price found Polk on a 14-yard scoring play three minutes later, then connected with Devin Aguilar on a four-yard pass with just over two minutes left in the first half to give the Huskies a 35-10 advantage
Folk added a 41-yard field goal as the half ended to extend the Washington lead.
Colorado put points on the board on its first drive of the second half when Jones scored from two yards out with 10:45 left in the third quarter.
Jesse Callier extended Washington's lead to 45-17 on a 26-yard run with 2:48 left in the period.
Jones scored his second touchdown of the game from a yard out with 13:34 left in the game.
Bishop Sankey scored for the Huskies from three yards out with 2:32 left.
Washington's 51 points was the most the Huskies have scored since September 22, 2001 when it beat Idaho 53-3.
It's the first time Washington has been 3-0 in conference play since 1997.
