NCAA Game Summary - BYU vs. TCU

Final Score: B-Y-U 28 - T-C-U 38

Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - Casey Pachall threw two touchdown passes as TCU took down BYU, 38-20.

Pachall went 13-for-23 with 147 yards for the Horned Frogs (6-2), who have won three straight. Matt Brown ran in two scores and Waymon James also had a rushing touchdown.

Riley Nelson went 15-for-29 with 215 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for the Cougars (6-3), who had a five-game winning streak snapped.

TCU needed just two plays to get on the board as Pachall and Skye Dawson hooked up on a 48-yard score less than a minute in.

A bad snap on a BYU punt resulted in an illegal kick and the Horned Frogs got the ball deep in enemy territory. Brown ran it in from six yards out two plays later for a 14-0 lead just under five minutes in.

BYU responded with a 42-yard field goal from Justin Sorensen, and a 22-yard touchdown pass from Nelson to Michael Alisa made it a 14-10 game heading into the second.

Brown had a two-yard scoring run and Pachall and Josh Boyce got together on a 33-yard score in the second quarter to give TCU a 28-10 lead after 30 minutes of play.

James' four-yard score with 8 1/2 minutes to play in the third extended the Horned Frogs' lead to 35-10, but Sorensen answered with a field goal and TCU punted on its ensuing touch, with J.D. Falslev returning it 67 yards for a score to make it a 35-20 game.

A Ross Evans 35-yard field goal with 5 1/2 minutes to play gave TCU some breathing room while BYU got a one-yard TD run by Bryan Kariya with just over two minutes to play to account for the final score.
