Austin, TX (Sports Network) - The Texas Longhorns rushed for 441 yards and five touchdowns en route to a convincing, 43-0 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks in a Big 12 Conference clash at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Joe Bergeron led the way with 136 yards and two touchdowns for Texas (5-2, 2-2 Big12), while Malcolm Brown added another 119 yards and two more scores.
Kansas (2-6, 0-5) had a tough time offensively, posting just 46 total yards. Jordan Webb threw for 48 yards, but was intercepted once and sacked three times.
The Longhorns began the game with an 11-play, 65-yard drive that was capped off by a six-yard touchdown run by Brown.
Texas added a 13-play drive that was finished off by a two-yard touchdown dash by David Ash.
Texas added a safety to begin the second quarter and continued to pour on the points with a one-yard touchdown run by Brown and a 52-yard field goal by Justin Tucker. The field goal came as time expired, sending the Longhorns into the break with a 26-0 lead.
Bergeron's four-yard touchdown run late in the third frame pushed Texas' advantage to 33-0.
It was more of the same in the final stanza as the Longhorns received a 31- yard field goal by Tucker, which was followed by a 35-yard touchdown run by Bergeron.
