Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Chris Coyer threw a touchdown pass and ran in another score to lead Temple past Miami-Ohio, 24-21, in a Mid-American Conference tilt.

Coyer completed 10-of-19 passes for 92 yards and added 97 yards on the ground for the Owls (6-4, 4-3 MAC), who snapped a two-game losing streak. Matt Brown chipped in 123 yards on 24 carries for the victors.

Zac Dysert threw for 364 yards and three touchdowns, but was intercepted twice in the loss. Nick Harwell set school records for catches (15) and receiving yards (229) while scoring twice for Miami-Ohio (4-6, 3-3), who were coming off a 35-3 win over Akron.

The RedHawks countered Brandon McManus' 32-yard field goal in the opening quarter when Dysert connected with Harwell on a 29-yard touchdown.

That was the only lead Miami-Ohio had, as Coyer threw a 10-yard TD pass to Deon Miller and ran one in from nine yards out in the second quarter.

Dysert hit Chris Givens for a 25-yard score in the third, but Brown's two-yard TD run early in the fourth put the Owls back up by two scores, 24-14.

Harwell's 14-yard touchdown catch late in the final quarter gave the visitors a chance, but Temple ran out the remaining 3:57 to seal the win.
