Albuquerque, NM (Sports Network) - Demarcus Rogers scored a pair of rushing touchdowns, including the game winner with just 1:15 remaining in the fourth quarter, as the New Mexico Lobos finally broke into the win column with a 21-14 triumph over the UNLV Rebels in Mountain West Conference play at University Stadium.

With the victory the Lobos (1-9, 1-4 MWC) snapped the nation's longest losing streak at 12 games, the team last winning against Wyoming (34-31) in conference play on November 6, 2010.

Rogers finished the night with 47 yards on 12 carries, second on the team behind Crusoe Gongbay who posted 93 yards on 13 carries in the triumph. B.R. Holbrook moved the ball efficiently through the air as he connected on 15- of-23 passes for 274 yards and a score.

The Rebels (2-7, 1-3), losers of two straight and five of the last six, were paced by Dionza Bradford who ran for a game-high 152 yards and a score, while Tim Cornett added a rushing TD of his own. Quarterbacks Sean Reilly and Taylor Barnhill combined to hit 8-of-14 passes for just 61 yards.

On the very first play from scrimmage the Lobos asserted themselves as Holbrook combined with Deon Long on an 80-yard TD pass play.

On the ensuing possession the Rebels responded as Bradford capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive with a 45-yard TD run to knot the score at 7-7.

Before the first quarter could draw to a close, Rogers countered for UNM with a one-yard TD run to give the hosts a 14-7 edge.

Following scoreless second and third quarters, Cornett brought the visitors back to a tie again, this time at 14-14 on a four-yard run with 14:22 remaining in regulation.

With time running out, a short field for the Lobos in the final minutes allowed Rogers to score his second touchdown of the night, this time from two yards out, to give UNM the monumental win.
