El Paso, TX (Sports Network) - G.J. Kinne threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in a 57-28 rout of the Texas-El Paso Miners in a Conference-USA affair at Sun Bowl Stadium.

Kinne completed 19-of-25 passes on the day in the win for Tulsa (8-3, 7-0 C- USA), while Je'Terian Douglas ran for 109 yards and a touchdown. Kinne added 33 yards and a score on the ground as well for the Golden Hurricane, while Clay Sears had seven receptions for 93 yards.

Joe Banyard rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries to lead UTEP (5-6, 2-5) in a losing effort, while Carson Meger struggled taking the snaps to the tune of just 204 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. Jordan Leslie caught seven passes for 119 yards as well for the Miners, who have lost three of their last four outings.

The Golden Hurricane earned a 7-0 lead early in the opening period of play following a nine-yard scoring strike from Kinne to Burnham.

Midway through the frame, Alex Singleton found the end zone following a three- yard run to give Tulsa a 14-0 advantage.

UTEP got on the board late in the stanza following a one-yard Banyard plunge.

Kinne found Trey Watts early in the second quarter with a 53-yard toss to give Tulsa a 21-7 lead.

The Miners responded midway through the frame with a safety, and scored on a Leilyon Myers one-yard run late in the frame to pull to within 21-15.

But Watts returned the ensuing kickoff 94-yards for a touchdown, and a two- point conversion attempt on a pass from Kinne to Sears was successful to put Tulsa ahead 29-15 at halftime.

Kinne gave Tulsa a 36-15 advantage early in the third quarter following a four-yard scoring scamper.

Less than a minute later, Shawn Jackson returned an interception 34 yards for a touchdown, while a 37-yard run by Ja'Terian Douglas late in the stanza pushed Tulsa's lead to 50-15.

The Miners got on the board again early in the fourth quarter with a three- yard Nate Smith run.

Myers found the end zone again minutes later with a two-yard rushing score. The Golden Hurricane closed out the victory late in the frame with a 27-yard scoring toss by Kinne to Jordan James.
