Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Tyler Hansen threw for one touchdown and ran for another as the Colorado Buffaloes recorded a 17-14 win over the Utah Utes in Pac-12 Conference play at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Hansen finished the afternoon 22-of-36 for 264 yards and was intercepted once for the Buffaloes (3-10, 2-7 Pac-12) as they won for the second time in the last three outings. Toney Clemons caught four balls for 102 yards.

The Utes (7-5, 4-5) were led by Jon Hays who hit on 18-of-25 passes for 185 yards and a touchdown as the team had a four-game win streak snapped.

Hansen kicked off the day's scoring with a one-yard TD run at the 9:08 mark of the first quarter, capping a drive that covered 12 plays and 80 yards. In the second quarter Colorado kicker Will Oliver knocked through a 23-yard field goal which gave the visitors a 10-0 lead at the break.

In the third quarter the Utes finally hit the scoreboard when Tauni Vakapuna made his way into the end zone on a three-yard run.

Later in the period Hansen hooked up with Evan Harrington on a one-yard TD pass play to make the score 17-3.

With under a minute to play in the period Hays found Shawn Asiata with a six- yard scoring strike to cut the deficit to 17-14, but that's as close as the Utes would get as they logged their first loss since bowing to California back on October 22.
