Boca Raton, FL (Sports Network) - Alfred Morris rushed for 198 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Florida Atlantic Owls to a 38-35 victory over the UAB Blazers at FAU Stadium.

Graham Wilbert was not overwhelming in the contest for FAU (1-10), but the quarterback managed the game well, finishing with 181 yards on 16-of-25 passing.

Jonathan Perry threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns for UAB (3-9), and the quarterback also led the ground game with 97 yards and another score.

Defense opened up the scoring in this contest, as Treon Howard picked off Perry and promptly return the ball 23 yards for a FAU touchdown.

UAB responded on its next drive, as Jackie Williams found the end zone on the two-yard run.

The Blazers took a 14-7 lead early in the second stanza when Perry plunged into the end zone from the one yard line.

The Owls took charge later in the quarter and used 10 quick points to take a 17-14 edge into the break. Morris tied the game with a one-yard touchdown run and that was followed by a 28-yard field goal by Vinny Zaccario in the final seconds of the second quarter.

Perry put the Blazers back on top when he connected with D.J. Vinson for a nine-yard scoring strike.

FAU responded on its next drive, as Morris found the end zone again, this time scoring on a four-yard run.

The back and forth continued, as the Blazers went back on top 28-24, thanks to a 12-play, 59-yard drive that was capped off by a three-yard touchdown run by Jamarcus Nelson.

Morris continued to lead the charge for FAU though, as the running back gave the Owls a 31-28 advantage with a 10-yard touchdown scamper.

FAU's tail back continued his sensational game, as he added a nine-yard scoring run late in the matchup.

The Blazers cut their deficit to 38-35 with a 13-yard touchdown pass from Perry to Nolen Smith. However, the score came in the final minute of regulation and UAB would come no closer, as the Owls held on for the victory.
