NCAA Game Summary - New Mexico at Boise State

Final Score: New Mexico 0 - Boise State 45

Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Kellen Moore threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns, as No. 9 Boise State earned a dominating 45-0 win over New Mexico in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Doug Martin carried the ball 22 times for 110 yards and a pair of scores for the Broncos (11-1, 6-1 MWC), as head coach Chris Petersen became the program's all-time leader in wins (72).

"It was a remarkable game for everybody, offense, defense and special teams," said Martin. "We're glad we could send our seniors out on a good note."

Tyler Shoemaker had seven receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown in the lopsided victory.

Boise State finished second in the Mountain West to TCU, which downed the Broncos 36-35 on November 12.

B.R. Holbrook threw for 145 yards for the Lobos (1-11, 1-6), while Crusoe Gongbay rushed for just 17 yards on seven carries to pace the team.

New Mexico has lost 22 straight on the road and finished 1-11 for the third consecutive season.

Petersen has compiled a 72-6 record over five-plus seasons at the helm for the Broncos. He surpassed Tony Knapp's win total from 1968-75 in emphatic fashion on Saturday.

His team took a 7-0 lead on its opening touch, as Moore hit Kyle Efaw for a two-yard touchdown.

Moore, the redshirt senior, was impressive in his final game at Bronco Stadium. He hit Shoemaker for a 16-yard score on the team's next drive for a 14-0 lead. The touchdown pass was Moore's 40th of the season -- a school record.

"He was dead on," Petersen said of Moore. "The leader of the whole senior class sets the standard, sets the tone and that's about as clean as you can play."

Martin capped the Broncos' third drive with a four-yard rushing score for a 21-0 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

In the second, Moore hit Gabe Linehan for a 15-yard touchdown, while Michael Frisina tacked on a 30-yard field goal before the half for a 31-0 lead.

The Lobos, meanwhile, punted on every possession of the first half. They will look to regroup next season under former Notre Dame coach Bob Davie, who was introduced as the team's new coach on November 17.

After the break, Martin and Drew Wright had touchdown rushes of 40 and 30 yards, respectively, to cap the scoring.

In all, the Broncos' defense held the Lobos to 197 total yards.
