Vikings burn Dallas

Vikings Owner, Zygi Wilf, often makes a quick exit from the Vikings' locker room following a defeat or victory, trying to disappear before reporters come in. However, that wasn't the case on Sunday.

When the other members of the Vikings' ownership group left, someplace the Vikings dressed and Wilf stood by a wall near the entrance looking around as he was smiling. It was a scene he wanted to savor, and Wilf could be responsible for this. He is the man who took over the franchise which has tolerated the share of heartaches and embarrassments, the man who had so frequently preached patience as the fans asked him to fire the head coach, who has his team just where he had imagined from that day he signed on the dotted line in 2005.

In the NFC Championship

A 34-3 pasting over the Dallas Cowboys in a divisional playoff game, before a raucous and often deafening home crowd of 63,547, gave the Vikings a trip to New Orleans to play the Saints for the right to go to the Super Bowl.

Wilf said, "It can not be better than this. It is where we want to be. At this time of year about to play a game that will be part of history. I am one big fan of all championship games. It is just great to subsist at this so I am looking forward to the challenge and the team as well."

The Vikings advanced to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 2000 season due to a complete performance by their offense, defense and special teams. The Cowboys had been a team that everybody talked about last week, but the Vikings were the ones who dominated at the end.

The Vikings' Defense routinely irritated Dallas quarterback, Tony Romo, sacking him 6 times (3 by Ray Edwards) and gave up just 248 total yards. Romo even lost 2 fumbles and threw an interception.
