Vikings agree to terms with Bernard Berrian

Eden Prairie, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Vikings agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver Bernard Berrian Saturday.

According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the deal is worth $42 million with $16 million in guaranteed money, which makes him the fourth-highest paid receiver in the league.

The Berrian signing was the second of the day and third of the weekend for the Vikes, who also signed safety Madieu Williams on Saturday and fullback Thomas Tapeh on Friday.

With a passing game ranked 28th last season, Berrian promises to bring a deep threat to Minnesota and open up opportunities for Rookie of the Year running back Adrian Peterson.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Berrian concocted his best season, as he hauled in 71 passes for 951 yards and five touchdowns for the Bears last season.
