Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Texans signed free-agent safety Nick Ferguson on Thursday.
Ferguson spent the previous five seasons with the Denver Broncos, appearing in 69 games (44 starts) while amassing 258 tackles, six interceptions and one sack. In 2007, the Miami native played in 12 games, registering 57 tackles and one forced fumble.
The 33-year-old Georgia Tech product began his NFL career with the New York Jets in 2000, and spent three years there before heading to Denver. Ferguson also played in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1997) and Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1998-99).
