Raiders ink DE Edwards

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Raiders have added free agent defensive end Kalimba Edwards.

Over six seasons in the league, all with Detroit, Edwards has played in 87 league games with 22 starts. He has totaled 160 tackles, 26 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries.

The 6-6, 265-pound Atlanta native led the Lions in sacks in 2005 for the second time in his pro career after recording a career-high seven. Edwards also led the Lions in sacks as a rookie in 2002 with 6 1/2.
