Giants' Manning reportedly has stress reaction in foot

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has reportedly developed a stress reaction in his right foot.

ESPN reports a recent MRI on the foot revealed a stress reaction in the cuboid bone, which could lead to a season-ending stress fracture. The network reports the Giants are treating the stress reaction and trying to get the quarterback to stay off the foot as much as possible. The team also has Manning wearing special shoes with extra support and using a bone stimulator.

Manning has reportedly been playing through the injury. He was 24-of-40 for 230 yards and an interception in Thursday night's 26-6 loss in Denver.

The Giants' next game is at home against Dallas.
