Bills' McGee placed on IR

Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Bills on Tuesday added cornerback Terrence McGee to the litany of players on the club's injured reserve list.

McGee suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday's 17-10 loss to New England and might require surgery. He recorded 48 tackles and one interception in 11 games, and becomes the 17th player to land on IR this season, tying the team high set in 2007.

Buffalo re-signed former third-string quarterback Gibran Hamdan to fill the vacant roster spot. Hamdan was released by the Bills last month when the club signed Brian Brohm off Green Bay's practice squad.

The status of quarterbacks Ryan Fitzpatrick and Trent Edwards are uncertain for this week's contest in Atlanta after both sustained ankle injuries in the setback to the Patriots.
