Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed safety Ryan Clark to a new four-year contract and brought back wide receiver Antwaan Randle El to the Steel City with a three-year contract.
Terms of Clark's deal were not disclosed, but the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported it to be worth $14 million over four years. It remains unclear the terms of Randle El's pact. The Steelers also announced a one-year contract for offensive tackle Jonathan Scott.
Clark was an unrestricted free agent who spent the past four seasons in Pittsburgh and has also played for Washington and the New York Giants. He visited the Miami Dolphins on Monday before deciding to return to the Steelers.
"This is the place I wanted to be," said Clark at a press conference. "If I get to finish this contract here, it will be eight years in one place. That's a huge accomplishment for me."
The 30-year-old LSU product had 89 tackles and three interceptions last season. He spent his first two NFL seasons with the Giants, then played two years with the Redskins before joining the Steelers for the 2006 season.
Randle El joined Washington after Pittsburgh's Super Bowl winning season in 2005 and spent the last four years with the Redskins. He started just three of the team's 16 games in 2009 and finished with 50 receptions for 530 yards.
The 30-year-old Indiana product was a quarterback in college, but made the move to receiver with the Steelers. He has 348 career catches for 4,214 yards with 15 touchdowns, and has also thrown four touchdown passes.
Scott, 27, spent the past two seasons with Buffalo after playing his first two seasons for Detroit. The Texas product appeared in 10 games in 2009, starting eight, and splitting time between left and right tackle.
