Eagles acquire DE Tapp from Seattle

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Eagles acquired defensive end Darryl Tapp from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for defensive end Chris Clemons and a 2010 fourth-round draft pick.

Tapp had re-signed with Seattle on Monday after the club offered him a tender. He had been a restricted free agent.

Last season, Tapp played in all 16 games and recorded 49 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and three passes defensed. In his four-year career, all with Seattle, he has 186 tackles, eight forced fumbles and 11 passes defensed in 64 games.

Clemons recently finished his second season with the Eagles and had three sacks in 16 games in 2009. In 68 games, 62 of those starts, the 28-year-old Clemons has 50 total tackles and 20 sacks.
