Browns re-sign three

Berea, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Browns announced the re-signing of linebacker Marcus Benard, linebacker Blake Costanzo and running back Chris Jennings on Wednesday.

All three had been exclusive rights players, meaning they had no negotiating power with the club. A player falls under this category when his contract expires and he has accrued fewer than two full seasons of service time.

Benard signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2009 and appeared in six games, recording 3 1/2 sacks, which ranked him sixth among all rookies.

Costanzo played in all 16 games and notched 14 tackles, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble in a special teams role. Jennings played in nine games and ran for 220 yards and one touchdown while catching nine passes for 56 yards.
