Giants sign Australian punter Bond

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Giants have signed Australian punter Jy Bond.

Bond, a former Australian rules football player at the semi-professional level, was with the Miami Dolphins last year before being released in June. The 30-year-old then trained with Sav Rocca and Darren Bennett, both former Aussie rules players with NFL experience.

The Giants' punter last season, Jeff Feagles, is a free agent.
